LAHORE: Head of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Executive Committee Najam Sethi has said that there is need for “educated cricketers” in the country, Speaking in a ceremony here, Sethi said that the youngsters, playing in backyards and alleys, are playing the sport. “We need educated cricketers as well”, he added.
He added that several people, including board officialsm had criticized the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before it even got under way.“The results are in front of you. The first edition of PSL was a success,” he added.The PCB’s executive committee head added that the Pakistan Super League franchises purchase regional teams.Sethi said that the international cricket could not be restored in Pakistan which is unfortunate for the country.
